Mr. Sneed was born July 9, 1942 in Gradyville, Kentucky to the late Rufus Sneed and Effie Sneed. He retired from the City of Louisville. Among those who preceded him in death include his parents; grandson; granddaughter; two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Sneed was survived by his wife, Mildred Sneed; children, Sheila Buehner, Barbara Baumgardner, Debbie Poppowell, Peggy Engleman, Randy Fritts, Sr., Barbara Wilson, Pat Shepherd, Walter Sneed, Jack Sneed, Billy Buehner, Dustin Cotton and Christin Shackelford; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted noon on Friday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
