Linda Jean Powell

Linda Jean “Cargile” Powell, age 73, of Fairdale, Kentucky. She was a registered nurse for 22 years. Linda passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 27, 1951, to the late Roy B. and Edith Robinson Cargile.   

She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Mike Powell; sons, Chris Powell (Stephanie) and Jason Powell (Kathy Jo); grandchildren, Hunter, Luke, Connor, Bryce, Molly, Keegan and Grant; brothers, Bruce Cargile and Raymond Cargile; Sister, Clara Cunningham; and a host of nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m. until time of service. Expression of sympathy may be made to American Cancer Society.
