Lois Collins Broadhurst

Ms. Lois C. Broadhurst, age 76, of Okolona, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Lois was born in Ottawa County Alabama to the late Lloyd and Effie Richards Collins. She was a self-employed business woman with accomplishments in the antique and coin business, and she owned a grocery store in Lebanon Junction along with several other business ventures.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Carol Hurst.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Doris and brother, Butch; fiancé' Clyde Smith and her best friend forever, Patti Burke.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Monetary gifts to Hosparus would be appreciated.
