Louis Bernard "Bernie" Greenwell

Mr. Louis “Bernie” Greenwell, age 87, of Louisville, Ky returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 6, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 3, 1938, to the late Victor Greenwell and Frances (Skees) Greenwell. Bernie was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Papaw. He worked for 30 years at Ford Truck Plant, he was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, he enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Craig Joseph Greenwell, sister Joann Hester and her husband Jay Hester, son-in-law David Copeland, daughter-in-law Tracy Greenwell. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Eula Greenwell, daughter Debora Copeland (Keith Cook), daughter Sharon Mccollum, daughter Connie Miller, son Rod Greenwell, and son Darrell Mccollum, 8 grandchildren, Dustin Greenwell, Jennifer Heitz (Justin), Brittany Dempsey (Derek), Shannon Goomey (David), Tiffany Brown (Matt), Rachel Richardson, Kris Thompson, Tracey Thompson, 4 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends. 

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). The visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 10:0

0 a.m. until the time of service. Final interment will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery.
