Luther C. Barnett, Jr., age 80, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with loving family by his side. He was born on March 18, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Luther C. and Jeanette (Powers) Barnett, Sr. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Barnett and Don Barnett. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Jan Barnett; daughter, Veronica Robinson; sons, Chris Gault and Ben Gault (Tracie); sister, Laura Belew (Glenn); brothers, David Barnett (Diane), William Barnett (Teri), Joe Barnett (Theresa), John Barnett (Cindy) and Steve Barnett (Amy); grandchildren, Lexy, Dominic, Kayla, Stefan, Keagan and Nicholas; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 1:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
