Marvin "Leroy" Johnson

Mr. Marvin "Leroy "Johnson, age 90, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Johnson was a WWII Navy veteran. He retired from General Electric where he worked in maintenance. He was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church for 61 years, where the love of the Lord was his delight.

Among those who preceded him in death include his wife of 56 years, Doris Nethery Johnson; sons, David Johnson and Gary Johnson; parents, Martin and Nancy Johnson; sisters, Effie Vincent and Betty Lou Sanders; brothers, John, Syl, Bernard, and Jimmy Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Shirley Hagan and Barbie Warren (Rick); grandchildren, Jennifer Stricklin (Todd), Matthew Huddleston, Jason Johnson, Brittany Hart, Whitney Crocker (Josh), Heather Warren; great grandchildren, Kristen, Doris, Isabella, Amelia and Riley Kate; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Angie Ethridge, A.R.P.N. for her loving care of Mr. Johnson.

Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Little Flock Baptist Church, 5500 N. Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY. with burial in Bardstown Cemetery, the 800 block of North 3rd Street, Bardstown, Ky. Friends may pay their respects 3-8 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd)
