Mary Sue Brooks

Mrs. Mary Sue (Clowers) Brooks, age 78, of the South End of Louisville returned to her Heavenly Father on December 28, 2022. Mrs. Brooks was born on November 24, 1944, in Harlan County, KY to the late William Clowers and Pauline (Hensley) Hyde. She retired from MSD and was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents, and daughter, Paula Kay Hayes.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 60 years, William “Marcy” Brooks, Sr.; children, William “Billy” Brooks, Jr. and Sissy Brooks (Stephen Koch); grandchildren, Michael, Tiffany, Terrah, Colton, Travis (Chelsea), Tyler (Elizabeth), and Shane; 12 great-grandchildren; niece, Angela Feathers; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 2-8 pm and Tuesday from 12 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Family video on www.subfuneralhome.com.
