Matthew Scott Greene, age 22, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Matthew was born in Louisville, KY on February 28, 1997. He saved several lives by being a KY organ donor.
Among those who preceded him in death are, his grandfathers, David Adams and Nathan Hardy; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Juanita Greene and his cousin, Dion Greene.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Elizabeth “Beth” Hardy; father, Richard “Marty” Greene; siblings, Christopher Major (Kaitlin Dooley) and Elizabeth Hope Greene; grandmother, Shirley Adams; nieces, Autumn, Tierney and Arianna and a host of other dear family and friends who loved him dearly.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
