Maxine Evans Nelson

Mrs. Maxine M. Nelson, age 92, of Fairdale, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker and a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church.

Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Harry L. Nelson; granddaughter, Shawna Marcum; brothers, Joseph "JC" Evans, George E. Evans, William "Bill" Evans, Donald "Donnie" Evans, John S. Evans, James "Jim Bob" Evans; sisters, Mary Helen Pate, Catherine "Kitty" Lee, Patricia "Pat" Baechle, Doris Jean Weyrauch, June L. Hicks.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ronald L. "Pops" Nelson (Sandra), Harry H. "Sonny" Nelson (Jackie), and Anedra A. Barrett; grandchildren, Roger L. Nelson, Joseph L. Nelson (Denise), Michele Humpich (Scott), Mark H. Nelson (Lee), Angela G. Watkins (Greg); great grandchildren, William Nelson, Jessica Johnson (Dale), Lauren Ward(Josh), Jackson Watkins, Kacie Watkins, Taylor Nelson ,Cole Nelson, Scott Humpich, Pierce Humpich, Tabetha Nelson ,Amanda Johnson, Brandy Marcum, Jeffrey Marcum; and great great grandchildren, Jaydence Nelson, Gage Nelson, Brayden Johnson, Chloe Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Aiden Jauhola and Erin Tweed.

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church , 908 Fairdale Rd. Fairdale Ky. with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects Sunday 2-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
