

Joe Dadisman, age 65, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 8, 2026, with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 11, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky to Carleen (Garrett) Dadisman and the late Bobby Dadisman. He desired to spend time with, cherish and adore his beloved wife, Shelly. He was a lifelong member of Okolona Church of Christ. Joe was the owner and operator of Dadisman Builders Inc., carrying on the tradition proudly for 3 generations. His work was his passion, which he loved to do with his family. Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home is honored to mention Dadisman Builders, Inc. was instrumental in building our own funeral home.
Joe was an exceptional man and had an abundance of love for everyone he encountered. He was known for his generous heart and willingness to help others. He had a rare gift of making people feel seen, heard and loved. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Kayla Cox and Reagan Pogue.
Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 25 years, Shelly (Coates) Dadisman; mother, Carleen (Garrett) Dadisman; children, Lil Joe Dadisman (Gesina Rose), Vanessa Brady (Scott), Mark Pogue Jr. (Jennifer), Brentley Pogue (Sara Ann), Dustin Dadisman (McKenzie) and Lauren Nix (Phil); grandchildren, Tyren, Tevin, Alyssa, Aliyah, Waylan, Cambryn, Coltan, Shaylee, Ayden, Owen, Maddie, Ally, Hunter P., Hunter C., Hazel, Lilly Ann and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Araunah, Ronen, Preslie and Hallie; siblings, Bobbi Logsdon, Gerald Dadisman (Theresa), Jeannie Roberts (Glen) and Steve Dadisman (Denise); life-long friend/brother, Duke Houston and a host of dear friends and family.
Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
