Robert William Vander Weit, age 56, of Louisville, entered eternal life on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Bob worked with Ford Motor Company, proudly served in the United States Navy, and attended Believers Church. More than anything, Bob will be remembered for the joy he brought into every room. He had a gift for making people laugh, always ready with a joke, a smile, or a story that could brighten someone’s day. His fun-loving spirit and warm heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Bob deeply adored his family. He was a loving father, proud grandfather, devoted son and brother, and cherished his son-in-law as one of his own. The love he had for his children and grandchildren was evident in everything he did, and some of his happiest moments were simply being surrounded by those he loved most.
Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Tracy Ann Vander Weit.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tracy Vander Weit, Brandi Scales (Robert Jordan Scales), and Emily Vander Weit; his beloved grandchildren, Avalon and Luke Scales; his parents, Joyce Vander Weit and George R. Vander Weit; his brother, George Vander Weit (Katherine Vander Weit); along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
