Ronald Wayne Simms

Ronald Simms, age 63, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on June 22, 2018. Mr. Simms was born on September 20, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Sarah Ruth and Leroy Simms Jr.  Mr. Simms worked in various positions for Publishers Printing for over 30 years and he was an avid U of K fan.  Mr. Simms loved music and playing his guitar. He absolutely loved cars.  He was always helping other people fix their cars.  Of all the things he loved, he loved his family the most. He looked forward to having family get-togethers for every event and really enjoyed spending time with everyone. Mr. Simms will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Christopher Simms; 3 sisters, Jackie Miller, Carol Hampton (William), and Marilyn Williar (Kevin); numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery to follow. Friends may pay their respects Monday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
