Ronald Eugene Smith

Ronald Eugene Smith, age 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born on May 5, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Clara Vaughn and Virgil Smith, Sr. He was Baptist by faith and a former employee of Kentucky Rural Electric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Vernon Smith, Virgil Smith, Jr., Sherri Smith, and Jerri Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Irvin Smith (April), Britney Burton (Bobby) and Gunner Burton,  and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm on Friday, March 29, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
