Thelma Mae Humphrey

Mrs. Thelma M. Humphrey, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, December 13, 2013. She was born on June 12, 1931 to the late Lester and Nona Elliot Lucas. Mrs. Humphrey was a devoted member of Mount Zion Full Gospel Church and a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.

Among those who preceded her in death, include, her husband, Dovey F. Humphrey; grandson, Paul Thomas Blair; great- grandchild, Brianna Hicks; son-in-law, Douglas Myers; brother, Wilmer Lucas and sister, Ruby Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Verna Humphrey Blair (Tom) and Linda Humphrey Myers; grandchildren, Holly Blair McIntosh (David), Amanda Blair Hicks (Bryan), Jeffrey Miller, Nicole Miller McConnaughhay (Ryan); granddaughter-in- law, Janet Morales; great- grandchildren, Elizabeth Blair, Brandon C. McIntosh, Amber McIntosh, Matthew Hicks, Andrew Hicks, Corey Miller, Olivia Grace Miller and Isaac Matthew Miller; sisters, Jewell Gionett, Louise Goins, Shirley Whelan and a host of other family and friends.

She also leaves behind a legacy of faith that continues to effect everyone that had ever come in contact with her. Her love for people, gospel music, and most of all Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was always evident in her life. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home with internment in Marv Bennett Cemetery (Battletown, Kentucky) on Monday at 2:00pm. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from Noon until the time of service at Schoppenhorst. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Mount Zion Full Gospel Church.
