

Benjamin was the son of the late Mr. Benjamin J. Willingham Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruth Olive Blalock Willingham.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mitchell B. Willingham.
Benjamin has lived in Atlanta since 1958. Benjamin joined the First Baptist Church of Atlanta, and then served later under the leadership of Dr. Charles Stanley and served for many years.
Benjamin earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Biology from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Benjamin joined the greek honor fraternity Beta Beta Beta in the field of Biology.
Benjamin was truly a man of honor and of great character. Everyday it was his goal to bring service to anyone he touched.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Ann Carter Willingham, his daughter, Kelly Caroline Willingham, a niece, Julia Willingham Lawson, nephews, Jonathan Taylor Bradberry and Jamison Carter-Pinson, and a host of great nephews and nieces.
A service in his honor will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2p m in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, 4400 North Peachtree Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338. The family has kindly requested everyone wear Christmas or Bright Colors.
