For twenty-two years, Bertha served the public as a bus operator for New Jersey Transit. She retired at the age 65 and relocated to the state of Georgia.
Bertha gave her family so much life. She was an active mother and grandmother who enjoyed softball, tennis, bowling, camping, traveling and yes… riding motorcycles. In her later years, she spent her time caring for her two youngest grandchildren, watching professional tennis, westerns, the Yankees, and was a committed, longstanding member of QVC and the HSN.
She is predeceased by her parents, and her first true love, Leon F. Ivey.
