Denise Faye McLemore Badore, age 66, Left us on Sunday, July 12th, 2015, with her family by her side in Snellville GA. Denise was born October 9th, 1948 in Decatur, Alabama. Her family moved to Jackson, Mississippi when she was five, where she started elementary school. They later moved to Atlanta in January 1957, where Denise loved to play sandlot baseball and ride her bike. She attended Chamblee High School, married and had two girls and one boy. After raising three children, she married Wayne Badore and they had several years together before his death. She is survived by her companion, Michael Cassese. Denise’s interests were as varied as her life. In her youth she marched for civil rights and protested the Vietnam War and continued her passion for fairness until her death. She raised three children as a single mother working as a teacher’s aide, librarian, and in construction sales. Later, as a result of her health issues, her interests turned toward nutrition. Denise was a Jenny Craig counselor and was currently employed at GNC, in Stone Mountain and Snellville, despite her continuing health struggles. She truly enjoyed helping others. Her smile was infectious and frequent and she loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends when she wasn’t devouring the latest murder mystery. Denise was the eldest daughter of the late Auburn & Dorothy McLemore of Chamblee, Georgia. Her daughters, Karen and Ramona Fain and her husband, Wayne Badore, predeceased her, as well. Denise is survived by her Daughter Amber Gayle Badore and Son Auburn Gary Fain. She has three grandsons Douglas Rega, Christopher Fain and Jacob Fain. Surviving family are her sisters, Kaye Dempsey and Lynne Shepherd, brother in law Grant Shepherd, and her brother, Larry McLemore and sister in law Vivian McLemore, with numerous nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Denise will be missed by all who knew and loved her and she touched many lives in her journey home. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 with Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Snellville, Ga.
