

Dorothy C. Chapman age 85, of Lawrenceville, Ga. passed away suddenly June 2, 2015. She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard L. Chapman, daughter Elaine D. Wick and brother William F. Beyhl Jr.
She is survived by her sons Richard W. Chapman and Robert E. Chapman (Michele), son-in-law Peter A. Wick, sister- in-law Jeanine Beyhl and nieces Nancy Burack and Patricia Eddington (Todd).
She also has 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was born and raised on Staten Island New York, graduated from Tottenville High School where she met her future husband, Richard. They later moved to Great Kills where she worked as a teller at Richmond County Savings Bank. In 1983 they moved to Gwinnett County to enjoy watching their grand children grow up and do some traveling.
After her husband of 56 years passed away she moved to Delmar Gardens in Lawrenceville, Ga. and enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a long-time member of the Huguenot Reformed Church on Staten Island and later became a member of the Snellville United Methodist Church after moving to Georgia.
Dorothy made friends easily wherever she went. She was an avid card-player and enjoyed watching her favorite baseball teams, the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves.
She loved her family very much and family was a very important part of her life.
