

Edith Boggus Withers age 94 of Decatur, passed away, Monday, October 28, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on February 5, 1919 in Heard county. Edith grew up on a farm in a large family with 4 step-sisters, 2 sisters and a brother. After she graduated from high school, she moved to Atlanta. She worked for Sears and the accounting department of the IRS for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest and is survived by her sister, Reba Bradley, of Decatur, son, Ernest Jr. and daughter-in-law, Diane, of Alpharetta, son, Ron and daughter-in-law, Beth of Tucker and son, Wayne and daughter-in-law, Nancy of Stone Mountain, grandchildren, Torie, Samra, Dale and Paige, great grandchildren, Lacy, Haley, Brooke, Morgan and Olivia, plus numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who took such special care of Edith: those with Trimark at the Regency House, A. G. Rhodes Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice. The family will receive guests at a visitation on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 5 - 8 pm at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, SW, Snellville, 770-972-3155. A funeral service will be held at Eternal Hills Chapel on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 am, Dr. William Neal officiating. Interment, Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
