Thomas Floyd Davis, 84 of Snellville, GA died August 11, 2013 after a long illness. Born and raised in Dahlonega, GA, Floyd moved to Atlanta, GA during the late 1940's where he met his beloved wife, Ann and began his 39 year career as a machinist with the Atlanta Journal Constitution. He is survived by his dear wife, Ann of 63 years and sons, Kenneth Floyd Davis of Gainesville and Jeffrey Lowell Davis of Snellville. Floyd also leaves behind granddaughters, Melanie Sorenson of Orlando, FL, Katie Scott of Buford, GA and Haley Davis of Snellville, GA and great grandchildren, Ellie Cate and Brody Sorenson of Orlando, FL. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Snellville, GA, with Rev. Tommy Jordan officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Grayson, GA and or Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA.
