

Jeanette Skinner, 78, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, at her home. She was born on January 6, 1939 in Atlanta, GA to Herman and Lana Smith. Jeanette was an elegant and graceful lady who was always there for whoever needed her. She was the Executive Director of Dekalb Bar Association for many years. She was also the CEO of the Miss Teen USA organization, was inducted into the Marquee Who's Who Book of Women and received multiple awards from the DeKalb Department of Children and Family Services for mediation. Mrs. Skinner was a loving wife mother and grandmother who will truly be missed by all who knew her. Jeanette is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Skinner, daughters Susan Owen and husband Tim of Tipp City, OH and Janet Ferington and husband Todd of Anchorage, AK, sons Tony Jones and wife Carrie of Bethlehem, GA and Rodney Skinner and wife Karen of Jennings, FL, grandchildren Adrienne, Hillary, Stephanie, Heather, Christina, Abigail, Blake, Craig, Cody, Taylor, Jimmy and Bailey and great grandchildren Aubrey, Wesley, Mayci, Tyler, Kellen, Kylee, Hunter, Preslee, Brenton, Tucker, Bailey and Chandler. Visitation is on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 5-9pm at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, June 22, 2017, in the Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
