

Nancy Elizabeth Winters Nagel, also known as “Beth,” passed away at the age of 71 on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Beth resided in Lilburn, Georgia for the last 28 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Snellville, Georgia. A viewing will be held Monday evening February 13th from 5:00-8:00 pm. The family has asked in lieu of flowers to please send condolence donations to Gwinnett Country Senior Services, who provided Meals on Wheels and other services for the family during Beth’s illness.
Nancy Elizabeth Winters Nagel was born to William Frank Winters & Eva Maxine Winters on May 11, 1945 in San Angelo, Texas. She had three younger sisters Anne Winters Traver, Ginger Winters Eckman, and Kathy Winters Rutledge. As the eldest, Beth took on a caretaker role with her sisters in her teenage years after the death of her father. She took twelve years of classical concert piano. She loved the music of Elvis, Greek Mythology, and animals. She graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1963 and attended San Angelo State College briefly. She met her husband U.S. Air Force Staff Sargent E5 Albert John Nagel in San Angelo and was married there on October 12, 1963. They resided in San Angelo for three years and overseas in Yalova, Turkey for two years. After Albert’s discharge from the Air Force in May of 1968, they settled in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Beth and Albert attended Catholic services and raised their children in a loving Christian home. They were married for 53 years.
Beth is survived by her spouse Albert John Nagel; her mother Eva Maxine Caswell Winters; her father-in-law Albert Andrew Nagel Jr.; her four children Diana Marie Nagel Johnson & husband Eddie W. Johnson Jr., Angela Elaine Nagel Konzer & husband Kyle J. Konzer, John Michael Nagel & wife Rachel Michelle Nagel, and Charlotte Rebecca Nagel Fountain & husband Joshua B. Fountain; her sister Anne Winters Traver & husband Doug Traver and sister Ginger Jo Winters Eckman & husband Dale Eckman; her aunts Nancy Caswell and Exer Ruth Caswell Woodland, her sisters-in-law Bonnie Jean Nagel Maddock & Cheryl Lynn Nagel; as well as her 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren & numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Beth was preceded in death by her father William Frank Winters, her sister Kathy Lene Winters Rutledge, her mother-in-law Kathryn Sabina McKeigue Nagel, and her sister-in-law Carol Ann Nagel.
