Paul Wayne Gary, born in Upland, Pennsylvania on 22 July 1940 to Albert Stanley and Mildred Louise, passed onward Thursday June 5th of natural causes at the age of 84. He is survived by his daughter Karen Carlan, daughter Tammy Sullivan, son Jeffrey Gary, and son Michael Gary.
Paul is also survived by grandchildren Anthony, Joshua, Brittany, Chase, and step-grandson Cody.
An apt sailor as a boy, Paul was a member of the Sea Explorers club and frequently boated on the Delaware River. After graduating from the Wharton School of Business, Paul became an award winning toy salesman (Lionel Playworld, CBS Toys), and a print shop owner (Franklins Printing, Gwinnett Press).
Paul and his wife Ruth were pioneers of the Atlanta Amateur Hockey Association in the early 1970’s. Paul was an ice hockey official, a league coordinator and coached the Avondale Aeros high school team.
He enjoyed gardening with his late wife, watching geese at Stone Mountain Park, playing pool, and eating New York cheese cake.
Funeral services to be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, Tuesday July 22nd at 2:00pm.
