I am sorry that your dad passed this year.
He was part of creating a beautiful soul: you! I am thankful for the ways he contributed positively in helping you be the incredible man you are today. I am sure he loved you very much and he will be in my prayers. God rest his soul.

My dear cousin Bob will be remembered as one who had a ready smile and an infectious laugh.  We had so much fun playing with the 3 Guyton boys.  Since I had 3 brothers I was the only girl.  Volna & Pearl always made me feel like I was one of theirs and the Guyton boys treated me like a sister so I had to put up with a little teasing every now & then.  Bob and his brothers were always kind though and made me feel special.
Bob bought a real "snazzy" Studebaker Hard Top when we were just out of high school.  What a car!  Bet his family wish they had it now.
After Bob & I were both married we lived nearby and our kids would play with each other.  Then we went our separate ways and saw very little of each other.   Georgia is too far away from Oregon.  
May the Lord bless and comfort all the family.  Dottie our prayers are with you .  It would be great if we could see each other one day.

Dottie, Robert and Wendy, I am so sorry for your loss. I will always have fond memories of my Uncle Bob. I am quite sure my dad is glad to have his brother home with him in heaven. 

I really wish I would have done a better job of keeping in touch. My condolences to you all during this sad time.

There are few poems written about fathers, unless you count Homer's Iliad or Virgil's Aeneid.  Thankfully, I won't be quoting Virgil.  In place of a suitable epic poem, I will say that he molded my life in ways that were lasting and substantial.  His quips such as “grass don't grow on a busy street,” and various and unique season's greetings will be long remembered.  

Dorothy, my condolences to you for losing lifelong partner.

Rest easy, Dad.   The long race is ended.
