Sally Campbell Long, age 80, of Lilburn, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1945 to Nelle E. and Dallas A. Campbell in Taylorville, NC. She grew up with two brothers on a farm in Alexander County. She attended Taylorville Elementary School and Taylorville High School and graduated from High Point University in 1968. She was a junior high school teacher for 7th, 8th and 9th grades in the Winston-Salem school system.
She came to Georgia when her husband was transferred to Southern Bell. She was a life-long Lutheran and became a secretary for Oak Road Lutheran Church. She served in that capacity for 9 years. She was a charter member. She is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Charles Long and numerous nieces and nephews in North Carolina and South Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
