Sarah Evelyn Tackett Webber, aged 90, peacefully transitioned to heaven on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Lawrenceville, GA. Born in Advance (now Flatwoods), Kentucky, on March 8th, 1934, Sarah was the second of four daughters born to Roscoe and Grace Tackett.
Sarah spent her early life surrounded by a large and loving family. When her father was laid off from his job in the 1940’s, she interrupted her education to help him run a newspaper route each morning. She later completed her GED as well as earned a certificate in bookkeeping.
Sarah married at 19 and was blessed with two children, Robert Jr and Linda Kay. Throughout her early adulthood, she supported her first husband while he pastored several churches in Ohio and Tennessee, eventually dedicating herself to missionary work in the Caribbean. Following the dissolution of her marriage, Sarah resettled in northern Kentucky and began a career as a bookkeeper at Dayton Malleable Credit Union in Ironton, Ohio.
Sarah married the love of her life, Raymond “Bunny” Webber on December 5th, 1973. Together they enjoyed visiting friends and family all over the country on his various Harley Davidson motorcycles. Sarah and Bunny also spent many hours crafting in their woodworking shop. Together they made wooden items, including furniture, much of which was enhanced by her beautiful artwork.
In 2003, following Raymond's diagnosis of dementia, they moved in with Linda, her husband Kevin, and her two granddaughters, Sarah (Sarabeth) and Faith Morehead in Lawrenceville, GA. There she spent her final 20 years planting beautiful flowers, making friends with everyone she met and witnessing her granddaughters blossom into remarkable young women, whom she adored showcasing to the world.
Sarah's departure leaves an indelible void in the lives of all who were privileged to know her. She is survived by her children, Robert Clark and his wife Claudia, and Linda Morehead and her husband Kevin, along with her cherished granddaughters, Sarabeth and Faith. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, MaryLou Womack of St. Petersburg Beach, FL, and Opal and Lovell Caudill of Ft. Myers, FL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond, and her sister Ruth Yates.
