Agnes H. Wiegand

Born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on July 31, 1911. She was a production engineer for Pratt & Whitney. She was a 50 year member of the Masonic Order of Eastern Star, a strong supporter of education funding a Chair at Boston University. She received her BA in English from New Britain Teacher's College, now CCSU. She is survived by a son Earle C. Cooley ESQ and wife Jean of Cape Cod, MA, stepdaughter, Claudia A. Hopkins and her husband Sumner of VA, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Joan ,a step-daughter Gretchen and brother John Thompson.

A Private Graveside service will be held on Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington on Monday from 5-7 p.m.
