Anna Angelina Niezgorski

She was born July 13, 1924 in Meriden and was the daughter of the late Santo and Ida Malavenda.

Anna was a library para at the John F. Kennedy Middle School in Southington for many years until her retirement. She loved to read and staying up to date on current events. Anna was passionate about exercise. She walked and went to the gym every day.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Bailey and husband Brian of Old Lyme and her son Edwin Niezgorski Jr and wife Laura of Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren, Christopher Bailey and wife Amanda of Oakdale, Brooke SanGiacomo and husband Nick of Southington, Danny Bailey of W. Hartford, Nathan Niezgorski and wife Mary Miles of Charlotte, NC and Adam Niezgorski and partner Karlee of Plymouth; eight great-grandchildren, Elijah, Isaiah, Jonah, Lucas, Mila, Max, Charlie and Madison; She also leaves her niece Mary Niezgorski and good friends, Judy Ann Henry and Rose Robillard. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Mary Ann Niezgorski and two brothers, Consolato and Anthony Malavenda.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January, 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington is assisting with the arrangements.
