
WOLCOTT- Anne (Falconer) Hathaway, RN died unexpectedly on May 1, 2012, at the age of 82. She predeceased her husband, E. Frank Hathaway III, who died on Sunday, May 6, at St. Mary's Hospital. Anne Hathaway was born in Norwood, MA on October 31, 1929, and was the daughter of the late James and Eva (Ferrari) Falconer. She was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford. She was a devoted nurse throughout her life. She worked as a private duty nurse for years before she joined the staff at St. Mary's Hospital as a supervising nurse in the emergency room, then as Head of the Admissions Office until her retirement in 1996. Since her retirement, she has worked in the office of Dr. Edmund Caporasso. She retired finally last November at the age of 82. During her life, she was associated with nursing organizations in the Waterbury area. She also completed her bachelor's degree and received a master's degree after the age of 55. She has been a resident of Wolcott and a parishioner of St. Pius X Church since 1959.
She is survived by his daughter Margaret, and her husband Stephen, of Lafayette, CA, and their two daughters, Gillian and Stephanie Raymond, also from Lafayette. He is also survived by his son James F. Hathaway, Jr., and his wife, Jessica, and their two young daughters, Jordan and Jade Hathaway. She also leaves a brother, Thomas Falconer of Hampstead, NC, sisters Jane Iredale of Vancouver, WA, and Irene Gillaspy of Knoxville, TN. She leaves behind several generations of nieces and nephews, and a special family friend, Gregory Holmes of Medford, NY. She was predeceased by a son James F. Hathaway Sr., sisters Margaret Nolan, and Elizabeth Leedom, brothers Rev. James J. Falconer, and William and Robert Falconer.
A Funeral Mass for Frank and Anne Hathaway will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Everyone is asked to
meet directly at the Church for the Funeral Mass at 10 AM . Burial with military honors will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 3 to 7 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Rd. Visit www.dellavecchiafh.com for online condolences and directions.
