Arthur Edwards

Arthur L. Edwards, 96, of Southington, widower of the late Mary (Plunske) Edwards, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Southington Care Center. Arthur was born on September 23, 1924 in Branford and was the son of the late Thomas and Bessie (Dalton) Edwards. Arthur retired from the International Silver Company of Meriden where he was a Forman for over 30 years. After retiring from International Silver, he worked full time for Palumbo’s Service Station until he was 90 years old. Arthur was also a veteran of the United States Navy during both World War 2 and the Korean Conflict. Arthur is survived by his son Thomas Edwards and by his three daughters, Mary McCloskey, Joan Messino, and Susan Cugno, and by many grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Gladys Edwards and Alberta Traub. Arthur was predeceased by his sister, Marion and by his brother, George. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden, CT 06450.
