Caroline O'Donnell

Born in Southington on April 16, 1919, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Mongillo) Mongillo

Prior to her retirement she was employed by Marlin Rockwell Co. in Plainville and had also worked at North Center School?s Cafeteria in Southington. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.

She is survived by her children, a daughter Charlene Chain and husband William of San Juan, PR and a son James J. O?Donnell Jr. and wife Karen of Southington, two sisters, Mary Keegan of Southington and Adeleline Mercaldi of Meriden grandchildren, Shane and husband Eric Zajac, Ryan and wife Lorin O?Donnell, Eric O?Donnell, Melissa and husband Philip Boyes, Michelle and husband Mike Ormsby, 5 great-grandchildren, Ryan Jr., Mark, Brooke, Allie, and Matthew and several nieces, nephews and cousins, especially AnnMarie Matczak of New Britain. She was predeceased by a sister Rose Matczak.

The family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab of Plainville for their excellent care and compassion.

The Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
