

Claudia J. Denze, 73, of Southington, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the HOCC at New Britain General, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Denze for 33 years.
Born in Meriden on March 3, 1952, Claudia was the daughter of the late Norwid and Wanda (Malachowski) Marszal. She retired after 35 years of dedicated service as a nurse at Stay Well Health Care Center. Throughout her life, Claudia’s love and compassion extended beyond her professional role. She was a devoted caregiver to her family, mother, father, mother-in-law, aunt, and cousin, always putting others before herself.
Claudia had a zest for life. She loved to travel, especially to Cabo San Lucas and Las Vegas, where she and Ron would celebrate their anniversary every year. She enjoyed dining out, and was an avid fan of Hall & Oates and tennis legend Andre Agassi.
In addition to her husband, Ron, Claudia leaves behind her cherished children, Justin McCormick and wife Mui Mui Hin of Middletown, Marne Meaney and husband Matthew of Wolcott, and Jaime Runyon and husband Howard of Beacon Falls; her four grandchildren, Andersen McCormick, Madison Meaney, Nathan, and Lucas Runyon; her two brothers, Dean Marszal and wife Michelle of South Carolina and Drew Marszal and wife Asia of Dubai; her sister, Leslie Christian of Long Island; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Claudia’s warm spirit and nurturing nature will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt Street, Plantsville. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass, starting at 9:00 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington.
