THE ROSE BEYOND THE WALL – A. L. FRINK
Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God’s free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it’s sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it’s fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive–
The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forever-more...

To many memories to put down. You were amd always will be my big brother. I remember chasing Church outside in our boxers in the rain storm. Because you left the back door opened. You taught me so much in life. Ill always love you big bro

I have so many memories of you! The day you were born changed my life in so many ways. I wasn't the baby of the family any more, you were.  You became a very large part of my life. As a baby, you sat in papas lap for hours, at eight months old, popa cut off the feet of your pajamas with his jack knife, How you remembered that is beyond me! somewhere around that time, Grandma and I were sitting on the couch with you in her arms, she took a piece of plastic and crumbled it, you would not stop laughing every time she did that! I remember you getting your little motor bike, how we loved riding that together, and your three wheeler up in the woods behind Osbourne rd. I remember popa and your dad teaching you how to fish and the day they taught you how to use a compound bow. How you would hang out with Armand and I and he would teach you karate.  But  memory we shared so much laughter over all these years later was the one when you thought I was uncle Dutchie!  The times you visited me at  our lake house in Watertown and how I wish you did  what you wanted to do. good thing you didn't!  lol You never let me be far from you all these years, no matter where I was and that I will always cherish. I will miss all your phone calls and the hours of talking, laughing, sharing, and both of us still crying about popa! You told me that I was the only one you could talk to because of what we have been through and what we have done. I was the only who could understand the secret world we lived in. You made me a promise, I still expect you to honor it! I will think of you everyday and my heart will never be whole. I really want to believe that you are there with gram and pop, fishing, playing horse shoes, hunting and doing all the things you did together. I love you termite!
