David Darryl Fasulo, known to many as Darryl, was born on September 4, 1949, in Southington, Connecticut, to the late James and Margaret (Gioia) Fasulo. He passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital on December 23, 2025 at the age of 76. A lifelong resident of Southington, Darryl recently relocated to Rhode Island in June, where he continued to enjoy time with family and at the shore he loved so dearly.
Darryl was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Aszklar) Fasulo. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Darryl’s family meant everything to him—especially his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.
For many years, Darryl generously gave his time as a coach for the Southington Midget Football League, leaving a lasting impact on countless young athletes. He was an avid sports fan who loved the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and hockey teams such as the New York Rangers and the Hartford Wolf Pack. He also cherished his beloved mini dachshund, Snookie, and treasured time spent at the family beach house in Pointe Judith, Rhode Island.
Darryl was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas Church in Southington until its closing, and he never lost his faith.
In addition to his loving wife Cynthia, Darryl is survived by his three children: Stephanie Michaud and her husband Richard Jr., David Fasulo and his wife Paige, and Nicole Holbrook and her husband Montana. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Adrianna, Emerson, Gracyn, and Carmina; and his niece Meghan Burns and her husband Edward IV.
He was predeceased by his special aunt and uncle, Edward and Ann Michaud, who were like parents to him, as well as his brother-in-law, William Aszklar.
