

Delphis Emilion Menard, 88, of Southington, beloved husband of Rose (Carrubba) Menard, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. Delphis was born in Hartford on November 24, 1933 and was the son of the late Delphis and Frances (Lawley) Menard. He was a retired warehouse manager for a building supplies firm. Delphis was an avid reader who loved to go to the casino and watch the Boston Red Sox. He also was a proud veteran, serving our country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He was also a member of the American Legion, Seicheprey Post #2 in Bristol. Besides his wife of 61 years, he survived by his children; Todd Menard and wife Andrea of Cromwell, Edith Szymanski and her husband Ray of Boyton Beach, FL, and Delphis Menard Jr. of Bristol. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Talon Menard and Trenton Menard both of Cromwell, Anna Chase of Westdover, VT, and Joel Menard of Peterboro, NH, and also by three great-grandchildren; Chloe, Silas and Hunter. Delphis is also survived by his brother Robert Menard of Torrington and also by three sisters: Norma Galoppi of Meriden, Jaqueline Sheehan of Harwinton and Lynda Roy of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey Menard. All services and burial will be private.
