The first time I saw Denise, I was about eight years old.  Corky said they took us trick or treating in Chestnut Hills.  All I remember was seeing this teen-age girl I wanted to be.  Her long straight hair, beautiful smile and a laugh that caught everyones attention.  She ruled the room.  And she was just being Denise.  She was the Susan Day of the Partridge Family, Michelle Phillips of the Mama's and Papa's and the Janis Joplin of groovy.
  How could you not love her?  She actually lived with me in CT and I feel bad because when she moved out I "accidentally" kept her cookware.  (Still have it.)
  But the best was when we worked for Corky in CT.  She wore her little jean shorts with her work boots.  She had amazing legs!  All the guys at McD's were going nuts.  And denise was her cute, charming, sometimes very blunt or sailor-like mouth would commanc everyone's attention.  But if anyone crossed the line--look out!  She would bring out the sailor in her, and the sailor mouth.  
  Denise and I went through a lot of similar situations in our lives and the last time I spoke to her, she said, "Keep trying and don't ever give up."  
  Ii've always loved Denise and always will.  She just had something special.  And I'm so thankful she met her husband.  I know he was the love she always wanted and deserved.

CALL NEECY MOMMY,CALL NEECY.THIS IS WHAT OUR THREE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER SUMMER SAID ON SATURDAY.DENISE WAS OUR NANNY WHO CARED FOR HER TWO NIGHTS A WEEK,WHILE WE WORKED.SHE IS ONLY THREE AND SHE TALKS ABOUT HER ALL THE TIME.YOU CAN IMAGINE THE IMPACT SHE HAD ON HER LIFE.DENISE CARED FOR HER AS IF SHE WAS HER OWN.GIVING HER LOTS OF KISSES,HUGS,AND LOVE(AND TONS OF TOYS AND CLOTHES TOO!}WE KNEW WE HIT THE LOTTO WHEN WE FOUND HER TO CARE FOR OUR BABY.NOT ONLY DID SHE SPOIL OUR DAUGHTER,BUT SHE SPOILED OUR DOGS TOO.SHE HAD SO MUCH LOVE AND KINDNESS TO GIVE.WE WILL NEVER FORGET HER,AND WE WILL MAKE SURE SUMMER NEVER DOES EITHER.WE WILL MISS YOU DENISE,AND WE KNOW YOU WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER OUR DAUGHER.YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.THANK YOU!!!! I would like to send my condolence to you and the family.  Denise was a good person and a good friend.  I was truly blessed to have time with her on this earth.  even though we did not talk to one another I often thought of her when thinking of Housatonic.  My God bless Her and her family always.

Ron,  Our thoughts are with you and Kristin and your family at this difficult time.  We were happy to meet Denise at Christmas, and we could  certainly see the love you had for each other. We send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

I had a plastic container that was on the back of a motorcycle that I used to have, and Denise would always call that my chicken basket.  She would say all I had to do was to put some fried chicken in there and I would be all set for a picnic.  That was many years ago,and I have never forgotten that.  I also have never forgotten all of the rides that Phil, Denise, and myself would go on.  Those were special days to me and I will never forget how special I felt when Denise,and Phil would include me in there rides.  Thank you so much Denise for giving me those lasting memories..

Oh, Denise. You were in my mind last night. This morning I wrote you to tell you I would see you soon.I missed you. I Placed a stamp on the letter and placed it with the outgoing mail. I will miss you so much. You were so good to me and so many other people who we worked with. You always stood up for the underdog and worked so hard at what ever you did. You gave it your all in every situation you were called to. You were my friend.that I could always catch up with. You are in Heaven in Our Saviors arms. I will always remember your extremely loving and "fun" outlook on life.  I first met you when you were still a teenager---full of life and out to experience everything that you could!  

When Damien was born, your life really began to overflow - - with laughter, love and happiness.  You just couldn't get enough of your dear little baby boy. And so that continued throughout your life...  

As the years passed, no matter what life brought you, you always maintained your sense of humor and joy---and always had hugs for everyone dear to you.  You and Phil were perfectly matched, and shared many years filled with the kind of pleasure and joy that most couples only dream of. 

I cherish the vivid memory I have of you riding your motorcycle--with Ruby on the back--all the way to Annapolis!

You will be missed---rest easy now---be at peace---and have a Bloody Mary with Barbara!
