Dorothy Ouellette

Born in New Britain on July 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Johanna (Karas) Surawski. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Southington Savings Bank for many years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Nancy and her husband Kenneth Engan of Thornton, PA, a son Russell D. Ouellette and Sharon Ouellette, step-children, Tom and Kathy Wielgosz, Larry and Donna Wielgosz, Geraldine Wielgosz and Cindy and Dan Wilcox a brother John Surawski of New Britain, 2 sisters, Regina Boncal of Eastham, MA and Helen Samulenas of Southington.4 grandchildren, Kyle and Katharine Engan, Ryan and Stephen Ouellette. 7 step grandchildren, Danielle and Stephanie Wilcox, Michael and Joseph Wielgosz, Kristen and James Wielgosz and Alison Wielgosz. She was predeceased by her first husband Russell N. Ouellette, a sister Harriet Skinger and 2 brothers, Frank and Stanley Surawski.

Dorothy was devoted to her family, she loved to dance and enjoyed her husband?s band the Frank Wielgosz Orchestra.

The Funeral will be held on Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
