Garrett "Gary" Costello

Born in Hartford on October 9, 1956, he was the son of the late John and Darlene (Goodine) Costello. He was raised in Berlin, graduating from Berlin High School in 1976. He served in the US Navy and was an employee of D & D Carbide in Berlin. He has been a resident of Southington for over 30 years.

Gary loved sports and was a longtime football coach at St. Paul’s Catholic High School in Bristol and formerly at Southington High School.

Besides his beautiful bride of 38 years, he leaves his sons Garrett Jr. of Southington, William Pavloski and his wife Kristine Pavloski of Bristol, a daughter Dorothy Pavloski of Southington, two grandchildren Katelyn and Stephanie Pavloski, a brother John Costello of Melbourne, FL, two sisters Patricia "Patsy" and her husband Peter Fusaro, Erin Costello all of Kansas City, MO, an uncle David and his wife Ursula Goodine of West Medford, MA, two aunts Marie Roman of West Hartford, and Patricia "Dee Dee" Mancarini of Meriden.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 17, 2015 at 12 noon at St. Gregory The Great Church 235 Maltby Street, Bristol. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Calling hours are on Friday, January 16, from 4 to 8 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington.
