
Southington- Gerald M. "Gerry" Savage, 84, formerly of Sunnybrook Hill Road died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at Silver Springs Care Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Mary "Pat" (Sullivan) Savage, who passed away earlier this year.
Born on Oct 15, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late John and Mary (Lynch) Savage. He was a graduate of Lincoln Lewis High School and the University of Connecticut. He served his nation as a naval aviator during the Second World War. He worked at The Miller Company in Waterbury and Meriden. He was a member of St. Thomas Church and the American Legion Kiltonic Post #72.
He is survived by his five sons, Mark Savage of Portland OR; Thomas Savage of Washington DC; Jeffrey Savage of San Francisco, CA; Philip Savage and his wife Gail of Guilford, CT and Brian Savage of Daytona Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Isabel Kelly-Savage and Gabriel Savage and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Savage; his brothers, Jack, Jim and Marty; and a sister Agnes.
The Funeral will be held on Monday Dec. 3, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3-5 p.m.
