

Mrs. Walsh was born on March 21, 1929 in Providence, RI to the late H. L. Emidy, M.D. and T. Gertrude (Kerr) Emidy. She was raised in Woonsocket, RI.
Mrs. Walsh taught in Woonsocket, RI, Staffordville, CT and Southington, CT from where she retired in 1990 as a teacher of Special Education for learning disabled students.
She is survived by 5 children, Bethany Ingriselli (Marco) of Southington, Christopher Walsh (Kathleen) of Martinez, CA, Timothy Walsh (Rocka) of New Britain, Margaret Walsh and Katherine Scanlon both of Southington.
She is survived by 11 grandchildren Rachel Potter (Jason), Dr. Joseph Ingriselli (Lauren), Sarah Walsh, Scott Walsh (Jessi), Timothy Walsh Jr., Jamie Nguyen (Alex), Annie Walsh, Marykate Jewett (Jenn), Bridget Scanlon, Fiona Scanlon and Sean Scanlon. Her seven great grandchildren are J.J. Potter, Ella Potter, Isabelle Nguyen, Luke Ingriselli, Logan Ingriselli, Charlie Walsh and Cameron Walsh. Her only surviving sibling is Joseph A. Emidy of Greenville, RI.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Walsh, who was the Director of Guidance at Southington High School for many years.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington at 9 am. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours. DellaVeccchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
