

Reverend Henry C. Frascadore, 92, of Hartford, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the day before his 93rd birthday. He was surrounded by his faithful caregivers at LiveWell in Plantsville.
He was born on March 27, 1933, in Bristol and was the son of Hector and Edith (Steward) Frascadore.
Father Frascadore, a priest for over 66 years, began his studies for the priesthood at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield and continued at St. Bernard Seminary in Rochester, New York. He was ordained to the priesthood by Auxiliary Bishop John Hackett on May 7, 1959, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Hartford. Following his ordination, he pursued graduate studies at Boston College, where he earned both a Master of Arts and a Master of Education. His first assignments as an assisting priest were at St. Clare Church in East Haven and St. Augustine Church in Hartford. Much of his priestly vocation was devoted to Catholic education. In 1964, he was named Vice Principal and Director of Guidance at South Catholic High School in Hartford, and in 1966, he became Principal. In 1973, he was appointed Archdiocesan Assistant Superintendent, a role he held until 1985. He then served as President of Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, where, during his tenure, the school was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for Excellence in Education. In 1997, Father Frascadore returned to parish ministry at St. Dominic Church in Southington, where he faithfully served as pastor until 2008. At that time, he was granted Senior Status and retired from active ministry.
Father Frascadore was known for his insightful homilies, published poetry, creative painting, compassionate counseling, and walking and bicycling tours throughout several countries.
Father Frascadore is survived by his nieces, Nadine Scott (Craig), Roberta Goslicki (Chet), and Marcia Lyons (Jon); his nephew, Damian Frascadore (Bonnie) and great nieces, Heather Scott, Stephanie Lare, and Cassandra Frascadore and great nephew Alex Scott. In addition to his parents, Hector and Edith Frascadore, he was predeceased by his brother, Edmond Robert Frascadore and his wife Betty, and his two faithful furry companions, Ramsey and Mason. The family would like to thank the staff of LiveWell for their attentive care. Most importantly, was the daily and compassionate care over many years by Antoinette Munoz and Sharon Ayotte.
He will lie in state on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. and will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Christopher J. Coyne, Archbishop of Hartford. He will be laid to rest alongside his parents at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers and to honor Father’s memory, contributions may be made to the, Reverend Henry C.
