

He was born in Waterbury on Nov. 20, 1930, the son of the late Francis and Theresa (Esposito) Conway. James was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in Germany from 1950-1952. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Heminway Corp. He was a Journeyman Printer. He earned a Master Printer Certificate for linotype, monotype keyboard, caster and hand compositor, and retired as a systems manager. James served with the CT National Guard from 1947- 1954. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and NRA. He loved to square dance and belonged to the Nutmeg Squares.
In addition to his wife he leaves his children, James Conway and wife Constance of Woodbury, Cynthia Kaplan and husband Paul of Prospect, Carolyn Conway of Windsor Locks and Marc Conway and wife Linda of Prospect; three brothers, John and Joseph Conway both of Waterbury and William Conway of LaPorte, TX; a sister Mary Reynolds of Thomaston; six grandchildren, a great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Francis and Michael Conway and a sister Elizabeth Conway.
Funeral services are private. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Parkinson?s Disease Assoc., 27 Allendale Dr., North Haven, CT 06473.
