John was born on Dec. 19, 1923 in Waterbury, the son of the late John and Florence Asel. He was a US Air Force Veteran of WWII . Prior to his retirement he was employed by Chase Brass Co. in Waterbury and Pratt & Whitney in Middletown. He was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church. John enjoyed hunting and fishing especially in VT, he was an avid golfer and loved his dog "Holly".
He is survived by two sons Gary Asel and wife Priscilla of Plantsville and Allan Asel and wife Annebelle of Naugatuck. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral and Burial were privately held.
