John J. Dorsey

John J. Dorsey Jr., 77, of Southington, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at The Summit of Plantsville. John was born on January 8, 1938 and was the son of the late John J. and Mary (Krol) Dorsey. He was the owner of Westridge Construction Co. and built many beautiful homes in the area. John enjoyed the outdoors. He loved golfing, playing bocce, boating and fishing. John took pride in his home’s comfort and appearance. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Polish Falcons and the Sons of Italy. He was a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville.

John is survived by his sisters Susan Dorsey of Plantsville and Diane Motowidlo and her husband Leszek of Southington, his children Jon Michael Dorsey and his wife Tina of Southington, Thomas Dorsey and his wife Amy of Naugatuck and Noreen Kremzar of Wallingford along with six grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Summit of Plantsville and the Masonicare Home, Health and Hospice of Wallingford for all the care and support given to John while he was in their care.

The Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 21 N. Main St Southington to Mary Our Queen Church for a mass at 11am. Burial will be in South End Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
