

Joyce (Simone) Manca, 78, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at home with her family at her side. She was the wife of the late E. John Manca.
She was born on June 24, 1937 daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Tedesco) Simone.
Joyce worked in the Law Dept. as a secretary for New England Mutual Insurance in Boston, MA. Upon returning to CT, she met and married her husband John in 1960. She was an active member of: the LaBelle Red Hats of Wolcott, former Finance Chairwoman and member of Farmingbury Women’s Club, St. Pius Ladies Guild, Thursday afternoon Bridge Club, Country Club of Waterbury Bridge Club, The Orchards Bridge Club, former board member and member of Mattatuck Museum. Joyce also served as Secretary while on the Board of Directors for Ideal Forging.
She is survived by her lovely daughters MaryBeth Manca and husband Joseph De Leo of Belmont, MA, Johnna Reuter and husband Michael of Wilton, CT and Christina Rose Manca of Santa Monica, CA, her beautiful grandchildren Emilia and Frankie De Leo, Bianca and Sydney Reuter and the late Simon Zachary, along with many cousins and close friends.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at St. Pius Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at The DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, 183 North Mountain Road, New Britain, CT 06050 or ALS Assoc., 4 Oxford Rd., Unit D1, Milford, CT 06460. In memory of Joyce Manca' to:

We all loved the doctors and nurses there, they took excellent care of her and gave her hope
