Kenneth Leon Laude

Kenneth Leon Laude Jr., 57, beloved best friend and husband of Shirley (Crane) Laude, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. Ken was born in Meriden on July 5, 1965 and is the son of Dorothy (Nash) Laude and the late Kenneth Leon Laude Sr. He was a graduate of H.C. Wilcox Technical School in Meriden and also Gateway Community College where he received his degree in nursing. He was currently employed with the Franciscan Home and Health Care since 2019. A meticulous man, Ken loved to build models, especially model trains. He also loved to fly radio controlled airplanes, which he did with his late father. He loved music and was also an avid blood donor. Ken was also a fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the Miami Dolphins. Besides his wife of 33 years, Shirley, he is also survived by his two sons; Ryan and his wife Megan of Naugatuck and Trevor of Meriden. He was a brand new Grampa to his granddaughter, Mackenzie. Ken is also survived by his siblings; Laurel delaChevrotiere and her husband Andre, Linda Battiparano and Colleen Milbrandt and her companion, Michael May and also his two fur babies Boo and Buster and several nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his sister, Kathy Laude Lewis. A graveside service for Ken will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Section K, 807 Old Colony Rd., Meriden, CT 06451. There will be no calling hours.
