Lena Plourde

She was born March 24, 1932 in Soldier Pond, ME, daughter of the late Joseph and Delia (Labbe) Lamarre.

She had worked at Dairy Farms in Southington for over 30 years. Lena was an avid gardener, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.

She is survived by her children, Ernest ?Ron? Plourde and Debra of Andover, Janice Laderoute, Rachel O?Neal and Larry, Cheryl Plourde all of Southington, Geanna Simpson and Robert of Bristol, Joseph Douglas Plourde and Charlene of Avon, Lisa Pelton and Mike, Robert Plourde, Sandra Dizenzo and Jason all of Southington. She also leaves 15 grandchildren; Matthew and wife Jill Plourde, Michelle Plourde, Brittany and Jamison Laderoute, Clinton O?Neal and fiancé Jessica, Janelle Souza, husband Dan and great grandson Zachariah, Eric Simpson and wife Melissa, Nicole Simpson great granddaughter Madison Bentz, Michael, Mitchell and Mason Pelton, Collin and Julia Plourde, Lindsay Dizenzo, Nicholas Dizenzo. She also leaves her twin sister Doris Dube of Eagle Lake, ME. She was predeceased by a son Joseph Alden Plourde, 4 brothers Neil, Armand, Edmund and Joseph Lamarre and 8 sisters; Blanche, Marion, Rose, Jeannette, Jeanne, Annette, Antoinette and Yvette.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St. Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
