He was born January 2, 1939 in Eagle Lake, ME and was the son of the late Gerard and Carmen (Robichaud) Marquis.
James retired from Amodio Movers after many years and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he leaves his two grandchildren, Kevin James Marquis Jr. and his wife Daniele of Norwalk and Jordan Marquis of Southington. He was predeceased by his son Kevin James Marquis.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28th at 10:30 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 1505 West St., Southington. Burial will follow at South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be prior to the service at the church from 9-10:30 a.m. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
