

Leonard was born on May 9, 1933 in Bristol the son of the late Vito A. and Grace (Battista) Savino. He was a lifelong tool and die maker retiring from GEMCO in Southington. Leonard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Was. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony?s Church in Bristol. Leonard enjoyed traveling to Maine and enjoyed fishing. His ?hobby? was to repair clocks in his spare time. His biggest enjoyments however were his grandson?s Nick and Colin who he spent many wonderful hours with.
Besides his wife he is survived by his four children Anne Marie Savino of VT, Mary Rose DiGiovanna and her husband John of Bristol, Lenny A. Savino and his wife Alison of Forestville and Phillip John Savino of Windsor Locks. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Nick and Colin along with sisters Carmela Savino and Antoinette Stone both of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Mary Brown and Angelina Beaudoin and brothers James and Vincent Savino. Services will be held on Wednesday April 24 at 11:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
