Manuel R. Machado

Born on February 12, 1925 in Hudson, MA, the son of the late Francisco and Madelena (Pina) Machado. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theater   on the USS Ocelot. Prior to his retirement in 1987 he was employed by Cooley Chevrolet in New Haven as the comptroller. Mr. Machado was an avid tennis player, world traveler and lifelong Red Sox fan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Carol Majahad and her husband Peter of Branford, MA, Donald Machado of Cheshire, Janice Machado of East Haven, 4 grandchildren, Jenny Machado, Rebecca Machado, Faye Picagli, and Mercedes Majahad, one great grandson Shane Wotton.

The Funeral will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.
